Pisang Peak Climbing (6,091m) is one of the most popular trekking peaks in the Annapurna region, offering the perfect balance of cultural trekking and alpine climbing. This beginner-friendly 6,000m expedition is ideal for trekkers who want to experience their first Himalayan peak climb.
The journey takes about 19 days and follows sections of the world-famous Annapurna Circuit. Along the way, climbers pass through lush forests, terraced farmlands, traditional Gurung and Tibetan villages, and cross the dramatic Thorong La Pass (5,416m) – one of the world’s highest trekking passes.
The summit of Pisang Peak offers breathtaking panoramas of Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, Manaslu, Tilicho Peak, and Glacier Dome. The climb is non-technical but requires basic use of mountaineering equipment such as ropes, crampons, and ice axes.
Apart from the climbing adventure, trekkers will also explore the Manang and Mustang valleys, visit the holy temple of Muktinath, and enjoy the charm of Pokhara, Nepal’s lake city.
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in central Kathmandu. After check-in, you may rest or explore nearby sites depending on your arrival time. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali welcome dinner and meet your climbing guide and team members.

Pisang Peak is considered a beginner-friendly trekking peak. It involves snow and ice slopes but requires only basic mountaineering skills. Good physical fitness and prior trekking experience are recommended.
Not necessarily. Beginners can climb Pisang Peak with proper acclimatization and guidance. Your climbing guide will provide training on how to use crampons, ropes, and ice axes.
The best time is during spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) when the weather is stable and the views are clear.
The standard itinerary is 19 days, including acclimatization days, summit attempt, Annapurna Circuit trekking, and sightseeing in Kathmandu/Pokhara.
You’ll need a Pisang Peak Climbing Permit, Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP), and a TIMS card. These are usually managed by the trekking agency.
During the trek, you will stay in tea houses/lodges, while at Base Camp and High Camp you will sleep in tented camps.
The summit success rate is generally 85–90% for trekkers with good fitness who follow the acclimatization schedule.
Yes, you must have comprehensive insurance that covers high-altitude trekking, mountaineering, and helicopter rescue.
