The Everest View Trek is a perfect short trek in the Everest region designed for those with limited time who still wish to witness Mt. Everest up close and experience Sherpa culture without venturing to extreme altitudes. This trek is ideal for families, older travelers, and those seeking a gentle yet unforgettable Himalayan experience.

We begin with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a walk-through beautiful rhododendron and pine forests inside the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our journey reaches its highest point at Namche Bazaar (3440m)—the bustling heart of the Khumbu region—where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. A day hike to Everest View Hotel and Khumjung Village adds cultural and panoramic richness to your adventure.

Everest View Trek itinerary

Meet our representative upon arrival at Kathmandu airport. You will be greeted with a warm welcome and transferred to your hotel in the city. Rest of the day is free to relax or explore nearby areas.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided half-day cultural tour of Kathmandu including:

  • Kathmandu Durbar Square – historic palace complex
  • Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) – iconic hilltop stupa with panoramic views

Afternoon is free for last-minute shopping or preparation for the trek. Your guide will brief you on the itinerary and trekking gear.

Transfer early morning to the domestic airport for a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. On arrival, meet your porter crew and begin your trek. The trail descends through forests and Sherpa villages such as Ghat, following the Dudh Koshi River.

The trail continues alongside the Dudh Koshi River, passing several suspension bridges and pine forests. Enter Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo and ascend steeply after crossing the famous Hillary Bridge. First glimpses of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam appear before reaching the Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar.

A relaxed day for acclimatization. Start with a hike up to Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for stunning panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Continue to Khumjung village, visit Hillary School and the monastery where a yeti scalp is believed to be kept. Return via Syangboche airstrip to Namche.

Retrace your steps down to the Dudh Koshi River, passing Monjo and Phakding. A final gentle ascent takes you to Lukla. Enjoy a celebratory evening with your trekking crew.

Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is free for shopping, rest, or optional activities.

  • Flights operate from Kathmandu (Tribhuvan Airport) or Ramechhap (Manthali Airport) depending on the season and traffic.
  • In peak seasons (spring and autumn), flights often depart from Ramechhap, which requires a 4–5 hour drive from Kathmandu.
  • We’ll coordinate all logistics to ensure smooth transfers and flights.
