Bhutan Tourist Visa Guide

Bhutan, the Land of the Thunder Dragon, offers travelers a unique blend of Himalayan beauty, rich culture, and a commitment to sustainability. To maintain its low-impact tourism model, Bhutan requires all visitors (except citizens of India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives) to obtain a visa through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator. This guide provides essential information on the visa process, requirements, and fees to help you plan your journey to this enchanting kingdom.

The Bhutan Tourist Visa is issued for leisure purposes, including sightseeing, trekking, cultural tours, and visiting friends or family. The visa is typically valid for a single entry and allows a maximum stay of 90 days. Extensions are possible but must be applied for before the visa expires.
