The Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most adventurous and remote trekking experiences. Encircling the mighty Dhaulagiri Range (8,167m/26,780ft), the trek spans the rugged landscapes of Myagdi District, west of the Annapurna region. Also known as the Dhaulagiri Round Trek, it is perfect for thrill-seekers and experienced trekkers seeking a combination of high passes, glacier trails, alpine meadows, and breathtaking Himalayan panoramas.
During the trek, you will cross two high passes – French Pass (5,360m/17,590ft) and Dhampus Pass (5,244m/17,200ft) – and visit three spectacular base camps: Italian Base Camp, Glacier Camp, and Dhaulagiri Base Camp. Along the way, experience lush forests, rural villages, frozen paths, and dramatic mountain views, offering a true Himalayan adventure.
This trek is usually completed in 20 days, starting from Kathmandu, flying to Pokhara, and then driving to Darbang, where the trekking journey begins. You will finally descend to Jomsom and fly back to Kathmandu, taking home memories of a lifetime.
