Standing proudly at 8,163 meters, Mt. Manaslu – known as the “Mountain of Spirit” – is the eighth-highest mountain in the world and one of the most accessible 8,000-meter peaks for climbers building experience toward bigger Himalayan giants. The Manaslu Expedition beautifully blends remote trekking, high-altitude climbing, and cultural immersion, making it a dream objective for ambitious mountaineers.
This expedition leads you through the stunning wilderness of the Manaslu Conservation Area, home to endangered wildlife, ancient monasteries, glacial rivers, and some of Nepal’s most authentic Himalayan villages. The trekking approach is among Nepal’s top off-beaten routes, offering untouched trails, dramatic landscapes, and rich ethnic diversity—Gurung, Magar, Nubri, and Tsum cultures thrive in this region.
Climbers gain essential high-altitude experience through multiple rotations between Camps I–IV, preparing physically and mentally for a successful summit push. With professional Sherpa leadership, proper acclimatization, technical training, and world-class logistics, the Manaslu Expedition becomes a profound personal journey—testing endurance, skill, and spirit.
Welcome to Nepal! Upon landing, our team greets you at the airport and transfers you to your comfortable hotel in Kathmandu. Enjoy a relaxing evening followed by a welcome dinner featuring authentic Nepali cuisine and expedition introductions.
Today focuses on logistics and preparation. We conduct a detailed expedition briefing, check climbing gear, secure permits, and assist with last-minute shopping. If time allows, enjoy short sightseeing in Kathmandu.
A long but scenic drive takes you through Pokhara, Besisahar, and the deep Marsyangdi River gorge. You’ll pass lush hills, terrace farms, waterfalls, and rural villages before reaching Dharapani. Overnight at a teahouse.
Your trekking journey begins as you follow forest trails, cross suspension bridges, and walk through rhododendron and fir forests. After passing small settlements, you climb gently to reach Tilje.
A picturesque trekking day through alpine forests and yak pastures. After visiting Karche Pass for your first distant view of Manaslu, continue toward Bimthang, a beautiful glacial valley surrounded by mountains.
A full day of rest and exploration. Optional hikes include Ponkar Lake, Nyamlo Lake, and nearby glacier viewpoints. Enjoy outstanding views of Manaslu, Phungi Himal, and Kang Garu.
A challenging but rewarding day. Begin early with a long ascent to Larkya La Pass, offering dramatic Himalayan panoramas. After celebrating the pass, descend across glacial terrain to reach Samdo.
A short and scenic trek through birch and juniper forests leads you to Sama Gaon—one of the most culturally rich and beautiful villages in the region. Explore monasteries, traditional homes, and breathtaking landscapes.
A steady ascent takes you through alpine meadows and glacial landscapes toward Manaslu Base Camp. Upon arrival, the team sets up camp, and you enjoy panoramic views of the Manaslu massif.

Manaslu is considered one of the easier 8,000m peaks, but it still requires strong fitness, high-altitude experience, and technical skills. With proper acclimatization and Sherpa support, many climbers succeed.
Yes. Previous experience with 6,000m or 7,000m peaks is strongly recommended. Knowledge of crampon use, fixed ropes, and glacier travel is essential.
Manaslu requires technical skills on steep snow slopes, crevasse navigation, and rope-fixation sections, especially above Camp III.
All permits are arranged by our team.
Manaslu has one of the highest success rates among 8,000m peaks due to stable conditions, fewer technical sections, and excellent Sherpa support.
Typically 2–3 rotations between Base Camp and Camps I–III before summit push.
We maintain a 1:1 ratio for safety and efficiency.
Yes—3 bottles for each climber and 2 bottles for Sherpa guides with masks/regulators.
