Kwangde Peak Climbing overview

Kwangde Peak Climbing is a thrilling Himalayan adventure to one of Nepal’s most fascinating trekking peaks. Rising at 6,187 meters (20,298 ft), Kwangde Peak (also known as Kwangde Ri) towers above the Bhote Koshi River and lies on the southeastern side of Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital.

Part of the Rolwaling Himal, this mountain is a complex massif with multiple summits above 6,000m, making it both scenic and technically rewarding. Although classified as a “trekking peak,” the climb is semi-technical, involving rock, ice, and snow sections—perfect for climbers looking to gain experience before attempting 8,000m giants.

The summit offers breathtaking 360° views of Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Rolwaling Himal, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and more. Along the way, trekkers experience the rich biodiversity of Sagarmatha National Park, authentic Sherpa villages, and peaceful trails away from the busy Everest Base Camp route.

This climb is not just about reaching the summit—it’s a journey into remote wilderness, vibrant culture, and pure Himalayan grandeur.
