Shivapuri Hiking overview

Shivapuri Hiking is an immersive 2-day trek located just 25 km from Kathmandu, offering a rare glimpse into the serene life of Nepalese villages while surrounded by the natural beauty of the Shivapuri National Park. Shivapuri Village is maintained in the true spirit of traditional Nepalese culture, providing visitors both a sense of remoteness and a warm local hospitality.

The trail passes through lush forests, scenic waterfalls, small villages, and panoramic viewpoints, making it ideal for nature treks, ethnic village exploration, bird watching, photography, or just relaxing in a tranquil setting. Since the village is located beyond the park, it is often advised to stay overnight in a hotel in Kathmandu before starting the trek.
