The crown jewel of Tangting, Krapu Danda (also known as Krapu Choh), rises to an altitude of 3,090 meters and offers some of the most impressive mountain panoramas in the region. Standing here, you are surrounded by towering Himalayan giants like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Lamjung Himal, and Manaslu. In winter, this ridge transforms into a pristine snow-covered wonderland with unforgettable vistas.
Just below the viewpoint lies Tangting, a beautifully preserved Gurung village perched on a north-facing slope. The village offers cultural richness, traditional architecture, and sweeping views of Sikles Village across the valley, framed by the dramatic face of Annapurna II.
A Place Rich in History & Culture
Archaeological findings suggest that Krapu Danda once lay along an ancient migration route. The Gurung community is believed to have passed through this ridge when migrating from Kohla Sonthar centuries ago. Even today, you can find the remains of ancient settlements dating back to at least the 12th century.
