Kakani Hiking itinerary

8:00 AM – Pickup from Kathmandu & Drive to Kakani (26 km, ~1 hour)
Enjoy a scenic drive through terraced fields, distant hills, and trout farms. Upon arrival, relax with local tea or coffee while taking in views of the Langtang range and strawberry fields.

9:30 AM – Hike to Mountain Memorial Park & Suryachaur (~1 hour)
Start your hike with a visit to Mountain Memorial Park, a peaceful location offering spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.

10:30 AM – Forest Trails to Gurje Bhanjyang (4–5 hours)
Continue through lush oak, pine, and rhododendron forests, passing small Tamang settlements and farmlands. Engage with locals, observe their traditional lifestyle, and, if in season, try strawberry picking. Enjoy lunch with Himalayan views at a scenic spot.
Optional: Short detour to Thai Memorial Park, a hilltop site honoring 1992 air crash victims.

3:30 PM – End Hike at Gurje Bhanjyang & Drive Back to Kathmandu (20 km, ~1 hour)
