Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m) – Welcome to Nepal!

    Welcome to the land of the Himalayas! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our friendly representative from Adventure Friendship will be waiting with your name signboard. You will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel in Thamel, the vibrant tourist hub of Kathmandu.

    After hotel check-in and some relaxation, you’ll meet our trip manager in the evening for a detailed briefing about your upcoming Dhorpatan Hunting Tour. We’ll discuss the hunting area, safety rules, permit regulations, and equipment preparations.

    Enjoy your first Nepali dinner and rest well before your adventure begins.

  • Day 2 : Full Day Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing (UNESCO Heritage Sites)

    Today is your first morning in Nepal! After breakfast, your professional tour guide will pick you up for an exciting cultural sightseeing tour around Kathmandu Valley.

    You’ll visit four UNESCO World Heritage Sites:

    • Kathmandu Durbar Square – A living museum of medieval architecture, ancient palaces, and temples.
    • Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) – A sacred Buddhist shrine offering panoramic views of the city.
    • Boudhanath Stupa – One of the largest stupas in the world, symbolizing peace and enlightenment.
    • Pashupatinath Temple – The holiest Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated on the banks of the Bagmati River.
      After exploring the spiritual and cultural landmarks of Kathmandu, you’ll return to your hotel in the evening.

  • Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve (10–12 hours, 248 km)

    After an early breakfast, the real adventure begins! Your journey to Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve starts with a scenic drive through the Prithvi Highway to Pokhara, offering beautiful views of rivers, terraced fields, and the countryside.

    From Pokhara, you’ll continue through Baglung and Burtibang, traveling along mountain roads that gradually ascend into the remote highlands. The final stretch leads you to Dhorpatan National Park, Nepal’s only legal hunting reserve.

    Upon arrival, our support crew will set up a tented base camp in a scenic location surrounded by alpine meadows and forests. You’ll enjoy a warm dinner under the stars as the team prepares for your hunting expedition.

  • Day 4 : Hunting Day – Explore the Dhorpatan Wilderness

    This is the most thrilling day of your trip — the hunting day! After an early breakfast at camp, you’ll set out with your professional hunting guide and local trackers. The terrain varies from lush valleys to rocky ridges, so be prepared for an adventurous and rewarding day.

    Depending on your government-issued permit, you can hunt either Himalayan Thar or Blue Sheep. Your guide will lead you safely through the hunting zones while ensuring adherence to conservation and ethical guidelines.

    After the hunt, return to the camp to celebrate your achievement with your team. Enjoy a campfire, share stories, and relish a delicious meal prepared by our cook.

    Note: If the hunt is not completed on the same day, the itinerary can be extended as needed until the objective is achieved.

  • Day 5 : Bird Watching and Return Drive to Kathmandu (10–12 hours)

    Wake up early for a short bird-watching session in Dhorpatan. This area is rich in avifauna, including Cheer Pheasant, Partridge, Snow Pigeon, and other Himalayan bird species.

    After breakfast, pack up your gear and begin the drive back to Kathmandu. Retrace your route through Burtibang, Baglung, and Pokhara, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way.
    Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll check into your hotel for a relaxing evening and farewell dinner.

  • Day 6 : Final Departure – Farewell and See You Again!

    After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Nepal. Our team will transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home. We hope you leave with unforgettable memories of your successful hunting experience and the warm hospitality of Adventure Friendship.
