Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Paro (2,280m)

    Depart from Bangkok, Kathmandu, or New Delhi (India), depending on your travel itinerary. Arrive at Paro International Airport where our representative will warmly welcome you. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and rest. In the evening, attend a pre-trek briefing with your guide followed by a welcome dinner featuring Bhutanese and international cuisine.

  • Day 2 : Acclimatization Hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery (3,180m)

    After breakfast, take a scenic drive to the trailhead and begin your hike to the world-famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang). Enjoy breathtaking views of the Paro Valley and visit this sacred site built on a cliffside. Return to Paro for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 3 : Drive to Thimphu (1 hour)

    Enjoy a short scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. Explore landmarks like Tashichho Dzong, National Memorial Chorten, and the Buddha Dordenma Statue. In the evening, stroll through Thimphu’s markets and handicraft shops.

  • Day 4 : Drive to Punakha via Dochu-La Pass (4–5 hours)

    Travel over Dochu-La Pass (3,100m), adorned with 108 stupas and panoramic mountain views. Continue to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, one of the most photogenic fortresses in Bhutan.

  • Day 5 : Drive to Bumthang via Trongsa (6–7 hours)

  • Day 6 : Sightseeing in Bumthang

    Explore Jakar Dzong, Tamshing Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang, and Jambay Lhakhang—important religious and cultural sites. Visit the Swiss Farm to see local cheese-making and enjoy free time in the evening.

  • Day 7 : Trek to Ngang Lhakhang (5–6 hours)

    Begin your Bumthang Cultural Trek. Walk through meadows and forests, meeting friendly locals along the way. Arrive at Ngang Lhakhang, a historic temple surrounded by serene landscapes.
    Overnight at local farmhouse or guesthouse.

  • Day 8 : Trek to Ugyenchholing (6–7 hours)

    Continue trekking through beautiful valleys and forests. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route. Arrive at Ugyenchholing Village (3,100m), a peaceful settlement with traditional houses and cultural charm.

  • Day 9 : Trek to Jakar

    Descend gradually through villages and scenic forests back to Jakar, completing your cultural loop trek. Explore the local markets in the evening.

  • Day 10 : Drive Back to Punakha (5–6 hours)

    After breakfast, drive back to Punakha through the picturesque countryside. Enjoy lunch en route and spend your evening relaxing in the tranquil Punakha Valley.

  • Day 11 : Drive to Paro via Dochu-La Pass

    Return to Paro, stopping again at Dochu-La Pass for final Himalayan views. Spend your last evening in Paro exploring or souvenir shopping.

    After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your flight. Bid farewell to the Land of the Thunder Dragon with lifelong memories.
