Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, where our team will greet and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, stroll through Thamel, Kathmandu’s vibrant tourist hub filled with cafes, trekking shops, and temples.

    Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 : Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, begin your journey westward along the Prithvi Highway, passing through lush hillsides, terraced fields, and river valleys. The drive offers glimpses of rural Nepalese life before reaching Besisahar, the gateway to the Annapurna region.

    Overnight in Besisahar.

  • Day 3 : Drive from Besisahar to Koto (2,600m) – via Dharapani and Chame

Travel by local jeep through the scenic Marsyangdi Valley, crossing suspension bridges and traditional Gurung villages. You’ll reach Koto, a small village nestled by the river — the official entry point into the restricted Nar Phu Valley.
    Overnight in Koto.

  • Day 4 : Trek from Koto to Dharamsala (3,200m)

Enter the restricted area after registering permits at the police check post. The trail leads through dense pine forests, narrow gorges, and waterfalls. The air becomes cooler as you gain altitude and approach Dharamsala, a small settlement surrounded by cliffs.

Trekking: 6–7 hours | Overnight in Dharamsala.

  • Day 5 : Trek from Dharamsala to Kyang (3,200m)

Continue along a beautiful forested trail and cross several suspension bridges over roaring streams. The valley opens up near Kyang, home to scattered stone huts used by herders. Enjoy views of towering peaks and the rugged landscapes that define Nar Phu.

Trekking: 5–6 hours | Overnight in Kyang.

  • Day 6 : Trek from Kyang to Phu Village (4,250m)

Today’s trail leads deeper into the remote wilderness. You’ll pass ancient chortens, colorful prayer flags, and a dramatic canyon before reaching Phu Village, one of Nepal’s most fascinating Tibetan enclaves. The old stone houses, traditional attire, and monasteries transport you to another era.

Trekking: 6–7 hours | Overnight in Phu Village.

  • Day 7 : Acclimatization Day in Phu Village (4,250m)

Spend the day exploring Phu. Visit the Tashi Lhakhang Monastery, an important spiritual center, and observe local life — women spinning wool, men tending yaks, and children playing in the narrow alleys. This rest day helps your body adjust to the altitude while allowing cultural immersion.

    Overnight in Phu Village.

  • Day 8 : Trek from Phu to Nar Village (4,100m)

Descend from Phu and trek across yak pastures and alpine meadows. The trail climbs gently before reaching Nar Village, smaller but equally charming, with traditional stone houses and ancient monasteries surrounded by mountain views.

Trekking: 6–7 hours | Overnight in Nar Village.

  • Day 9 : Acclimatization and Exploration Day in Nar Village

Rest and acclimatize before the big pass tomorrow. Explore Nar’s Buddhist monasteries, interact with locals, and enjoy mesmerizing views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak.

    Overnight in Nar Village.

  • Day 10 : Trek from Nar to Kang La Base Camp (4,800m)

Begin a gradual climb towards Kang La Base Camp. The landscape turns rugged and barren as you enter the alpine zone. The night’s stay at base camp will prepare you for the high pass crossing the next morning.

Trekking: 5–6 hours | Overnight at Kang La Base Camp.

  • Day 11 : Cross Kang La Pass (5,300m) – Trek to Ngawal (3,650m)

A big day! Start early to ascend the Kang La Pass, where the stunning 360° panorama of the Annapurna range unfolds — one of the best mountain views in Nepal. After soaking in the scenery, descend to Ngawal, a beautiful village on the upper Pisang route of the Annapurna Circuit.

Trekking: 7–8 hours | Overnight in Ngawal.

  • Day 12 : Trek from Ngawal to Pisang – Drive to Besisahar

Trek down through forests and small villages to Pisang, from where you’ll take a jeep back to Besisahar. The change in altitude and greenery will feel refreshing after days in the high mountains.

Trekking: 4–5 hours | Drive: 5 hours | Overnight in Besisahar.

  • Day 13 : Drive from Besisahar to Kathmandu (6–7 hrs)

Return to Kathmandu by road. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax or enjoy a farewell dinner in Thamel.

    Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 14 : Departure Day

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore more of Kathmandu or do some souvenir shopping before your airport transfer.
Farewell and end of your Nar Phu Valley adventure.
