Upon arrival in Lhasa by train or flight, your friendly Tibetan guide will greet you with a Hada (traditional ceremonial scarf) and blessings. Along the way to your hotel, enjoy glimpses of the Yarlung Tsangpo River and the Lhasa River. After checking in, rest and acclimatize to the altitude. In the evening, your guide will provide a trip briefing, travel tips, and introduce group members.
    Stay overnight in Lhasa.

  • Day 2 : Lhasa Tour – Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery

Today is dedicated to Tibetan monasteries. In the morning, explore Drepung Monastery, once home to over 10,000 monks, and learn about Tibetan Buddhism in the Coqen Hall and Loseling College. In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery, one of Tibet’s great monastic universities, and witness the famous monk debates (3:00–5:00 pm).
    Stay overnight in Lhasa.

  • Day 3 : Lhasa Tour – Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street

Start with the majestic Potala Palace, once the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas, where you’ll admire its golden stupas, murals, and ancient meditation caves. Afterward, enjoy a stroll in Longwangtan Park for a different view of the palace. In the afternoon, visit the sacred Jokhang Temple, home to the 12-year-old Buddha statue, and join pilgrims on a kora around Barkhor Street, the vibrant old market of Lhasa. End the day sipping sweet Tibetan tea in a traditional tea house and exploring a historic Tibetan courtyard.
    Stay overnight in Lhasa.

  • Day 4 : Lhasa to Shigatse via Gyantse (360km)

Drive over Gampala Pass (4790m) to enjoy stunning views of turquoise Yamdrok Lake (4400m) and snow-capped Mount Nyenchen Khangsar. Visit a local Tibetan family near the lake for lunch and insight into village life. Continue past the magnificent Karola Glacier and pause at Simila Pass to hang prayer flags. Arrive in Gyantse, famous for its historic fortress, then continue through barley fields to Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet.
    Stay overnight in Shigatse.

  • Day 5 : Shigatse to Everest Base Camp (5000m)

Travel along the Himalayan highway to Everest Base Camp. Stop at Gyatsola Pass (5280m) for your first distant view of Everest, then continue to Gawula Pass (5198m) for panoramic vistas of five towering Himalayan peaks. Follow the zigzag mountain road to the base camp, where Everest reveals itself closer with each turn. By sunset, watch the golden glow over its north face. At night, the Milky Way stretches above the snow-capped giant.
Stay overnight at EBC or a nearby village if tents are closed in winter.

  • Day 6 : Everest Base Camp to Gyirong Border (2800m)

In the morning, visit the world’s highest monastery, Rongbuk Monastery (5154m), with Everest in the background. Then descend through the Himalayas, passing by Mount Shishapangma (8027m) and shimmering Pelku Tso Lake. The landscape changes dramatically from barren highlands to lush forests and deep gorges as you enter the Gyirong Valley near the Nepal border.
