Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

    Arrive at Paro Airport and meet your guide for a scenic drive to Thimphu. On the way, visit the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal, and continue to the Buddha Dordenma, a massive golden Buddha statue offering panoramic views of Thimphu and the surrounding valleys. Settle into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening in the capital.

  • Day 2 : Thimphu Sightseeing

    Explore the cultural and spiritual highlights of Thimphu. Visit Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the late king, then head to Tashichho Dzong and Simtokha Dzong, important religious and administrative centers. Discover Bhutanese arts at the National Textile Museum and Folk Heritage Museum, and stroll through the town to experience local markets and daily life.

  • Day 3 : Thimphu to Punakha

    Drive to Punakha via the Dochula Pass, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks. Visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, strategically located at the confluence of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Walk across Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge and enjoy a short hike to Khamsum Yuley Temple, known for its ornate murals and tranquil setting.

  • Day 4 : Punakha to Bumthang

  • Day 5 : Exploring Bumthang

  • Day 6 : Bumthang to Gangtey via Trongsa

  • Day 8 : Gangtey to Paro
