Detailed Itinerary
- Day 1 : Arrival in Paro (2,300m) – Transfer to Thimphu (2 hrs drive)
Arrive at Paro International Airport with stunning views of Himalayan peaks. Meet your guide and transfer to Thimphu. If time permits, visit Kyichu Lhakhang and Paro Dzong before driving to the capital. Overnight in Thimphu.
- Day 2 : Thimphu Sightseeing
Full-day sightseeing including Memorial Chorten, National Library, Drubthob Nunnery, Folk Heritage Museum, Handmade Paper Factory, School of Arts & Crafts, Gold & Silver workshops, Zangtopelri Lhakhang, and Handicraft Emporium. Overnight in Thimphu.
- Day 3 : Thimphu – Punakha (1,250m) (3–4 hrs drive)
Drive via Dochu La Pass (3,100m) with spectacular Himalayan views. Visit Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress. Overnight in Punakha.
- Day 4 : Punakha – Trongsa (2,200m) (5 hrs drive)
Cross Pele La Pass (3,240m) and enter the fertile Mangde Chhu Valley. Explore the magnificent Trongsa Dzong, perched dramatically above the river. Overnight in Trongsa.
- Day 5 : Trongsa – Gangtey (2,890m) – Wangdiphodrang (1,460m) (5–6 hrs drive)
Travel to the glacial Phobjikha Valley, home to Black-necked Cranes and diverse wildlife. Visit Gangtey Monastery before returning to Wangdiphodrang for overnight stay.
- Day 6 : Wangdiphodrang – Paro (2,260m) (3–4 hrs drive)
Drive to Paro. Visit the National Museum, Drukgyel Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, and a typical Bhutanese farmhouse. Enjoy views of Mount Jumolhari (7,314m). Overnight in Paro.
- Day 7 : Paro – Hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)
Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Bhutan’s most iconic landmark perched on a cliff. Half-day hike with free time for additional sightseeing in Paro. Overnight in Paro.
- Day 8 : Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.

- Bhutanese Tourist Visa fee.
- Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance (covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, etc.).
- Personal Expenses: Laundry, phone calls, internet, beverages (soft drinks, alcohol, beer), and other personal expenses.
- Filming & Special Permits: Fees for filming, drone use, or special camera permits.
- Tips: Gratuities for guide and driver (tipping is customary and appreciated).
