Today, we explore some of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley, often called the “city of temples.” Sites may include Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Meanwhile, we also complete necessary paperwork and preparations for the Chulu West Peak expedition.

Note: It is not possible to visit all heritage sites in one day. Usually, 3–4 key sites are covered.
We begin our journey with a scenic drive along the Prithvi Highway, following the Trishuli and later the Marsyangdi River. The drive offers views of lush hillsides, rural villages, and local life. Previously, vehicles could only reach Besisahar, but with road extensions, we now drive further up to Chamje.
