Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

    Our representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and assist with luggage and hotel check-in. Depending on arrival time, you may rest or explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing & Climb Preparation (1,400m)

    After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu (3–4 highlights such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, or Patan Durbar Square). In the afternoon, visit our office in Thamel for a trip briefing and gear check. Final shopping for equipment if needed. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 3 : Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m) & Trek to Chhuthang (3,020m)

    Flight duration: 45 minutes
    Trek time: 3–4 hours
    Take a scenic mountain flight to Lukla. Meet the rest of the crew and begin trekking through rhododendron and pine forests along the Dudh Koshi River, reaching Chhuthang. Overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 4 : Chhuthang to Tuli Kharka (4,300m) via Zatrawal Pass (4,600m)

    Trek time: 5–6 hours
    A challenging day as you ascend steeply to Zatrawal Pass. From the top, enjoy spectacular views of Lumding Himal, Kongde Ri, and Numbur Himal. Then descend gradually to the pasturelands of Tuli Kharka. Overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 5 : Tuli Kharka to Kothe (4,182m)

    Trek time: 5–6 hours
    Descend into the Hinku Valley, trekking through rhododendron and pine forests with stunning views of Mera Peak. Follow the Hinku River to Kothe. Overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 6 : Kothe to Thangnak (4,326m)

    Trek time: 4–5 hours
    Follow the Hinku Khola upstream, passing Gondishung and the 200-year-old Lungsumgba Monastery. Continue to the yak pastures of Thangnak. Views of Mera Peak and Kusum Kanguru dominate the horizon. Overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 7 : Thangnak to Khare (5,000m)

    Trek time: 5–6 hours
    Climb gradually past Dig Glacier and Dig Kharka, then continue along the Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers. A steep final section brings you to Khare, the last settlement before the climb. Overnight in a teahouse.

     

  • Day 8 : Acclimatization Day in Khare (5,000m)

    Rest and acclimatize with short hikes around Khare. The guide will provide basic climbing training (use of crampons, harness, ropes, and ice axe). Overnight in a teahouse.

     

  • Day 9 : Khare to Mera High Camp (5,700m)

    Trek time: 5–6 hours
    Climb steadily across the Mera La glacier before ascending to High Camp. Enjoy breathtaking sunset views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Nuptse. Overnight in tented camp.

  • Day 10 : Contingency Day (5,700m)

    A buffer day reserved for weather delays or additional acclimatization. If conditions are favorable, the climb proceeds without using this day.

  • Day 11 : Summit Mera Peak (6,461m) & Return to Khare (5,000m)

    Climb duration: 9–10 hours
    Start before dawn, using ropes and crampons to ascend safely. Reach the summit for sweeping views of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and more. Descend carefully to Khare for overnight stay.

  • Day 12 : Khare to Kothe (4,182m)

    Trek time: 5–6 hours
    Retrace your route through Dig Glacier, Thangnak, and Lungsumgba Monastery before descending along the Hinku River to Kothe. Overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 13 : Kothe to Tuli Kharka (4,300m)

    Trek time: 6 hours
    Trek uphill through forests and ridges of the Hinku Valley. Overnight in a teahouse at Tuli Kharka.

  • Day 14 : Tuli Kharka to Lukla (2,800m) via Zatrawal Pass (4,600m)

    Trek time: 6–7 hours
    A final challenging ascent to Zatrawal Pass, then descend through alpine and forested trails to Lukla. Celebrate the end of the trek with your team. Overnight in Lukla.

  • Day 15 : Fly Lukla to Kathmandu (1,400m)

    Morning flight back to Kathmandu with aerial views of the Himalayas. Transfer to hotel. Free time for rest or light exploration. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 16 : Leisure Day in Kathmandu (1,400m)

    Use the day for additional sightseeing, shopping for souvenirs in Thamel, or relaxing. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by the company. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 17 : Departure from Kathmandu (1,400m)

    Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport at least 2-3 hours before your scheduled flight. End of trip.
