Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

    Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. You will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for rest and adjustment. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing

    After breakfast, enjoy a guided half-day sightseeing tour:

    • Kathmandu Durbar Square – former royal palace complex.
    • Kumari Ghar – residence of the Living Goddess.
    • Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) – perched atop a hill with panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley.

    In the afternoon, explore Patan City, renowned for its art, crafts, and ancient architecture. Highlights include Krishna Mandir, Patan Durbar Square, Royal Bath, and Hiranya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple). Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 : Kathmandu Sightseeing

    Today, explore more of Kathmandu Valley’s spiritual and cultural landmarks:

    • Pashupatinath Temple – Nepal’s holiest Hindu temple on the Bagmati River.
    • Boudhanath Stupa – one of the world’s largest stupas, an important Tibetan Buddhist site.
    • Bhaktapur City – a medieval gem known for its preserved courtyards, temples, and traditional culture. Overnight in Kathmandu.
  • Day 4 : Kathmandu – Fly to Paro – Transfer to Thimphu (2 hrs drive)

    Take a scenic flight to Bhutan’s Paro International Airport. On a clear day, enjoy breathtaking views of Himalayan peaks including Mount Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. Upon arrival, meet your Bhutanese guide and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city.

    If time permits, visit:

    • Kyichu Lhakhang – one of Bhutan’s oldest temples.
    • Paro Dzong – a fortress-monastery with impressive architecture.
      Overnight in Thimphu.
  • Day 5 : Thimphu Sightseeing – Drive to Punakha (3–4 hrs)

    After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Thimphu:

    • Memorial Chorten – built in memory of the late King.
    • National Library – preserving ancient manuscripts.
    • Drubthob Nunnery & Folk Heritage Museum.
    • School of Arts & Crafts – where students practice Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts (Zorig Chusum).
    • Handmade Paper Factory & Craft Bazaar – showcasing textiles, thangkas, and handicrafts.

    In the late afternoon, drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100m), which offers panoramic Himalayan views on clear days. Overnight in Punakha.

  • Day 6 : Excursion to Gangtey & Phobjikha Valley - Overnight in Wangduephodrang

    Morning visit to Punakha Dzong, considered one of Bhutan’s most beautiful and historically significant fortresses.

    Afterward, drive to Gangtey (Phobjikha Valley) – a glacial valley and winter home to the rare Black-necked Cranes. Visit Gangtey Monastery, the only Nyingmapa monastery in Bhutan.

    In the evening, drive to Wangduephodrang for overnight stay. Overnight in Wangduephodrang.

  • Day 7 : Wangduephodrang – Drive to Paro (3–4 hrs)

    Drive through scenic mountain roads back to Paro. In the afternoon, visit:

    • National Museum of Bhutan – housed in an old watchtower with rich cultural exhibits.
    • Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) – an iconic fortress-monastery.
    • Drukgyel Dzong – ruins of a historic fortress with views of Mount Jumolhari.
    • A traditional Bhutanese farmhouse for a glimpse of rural life.
      Overnight in Paro.
  • Day 8 : Paro – Hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)

    Today is a highlight of your Bhutan journey. Hike up to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliffside about 900m above Paro Valley. This sacred site is one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks.

    The hike takes about 4–5 hours round trip, but the views and spiritual atmosphere are unforgettable. After lunch, explore any remaining sites around Paro. Overnight in Paro.

  • Day 9 : Paro – Fly to Kathmandu

    After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is free for shopping and leisure.  Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 10 : Departure from Kathmandu

    Free time until your transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
