Detailed Itinerary
- Day 1 : Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa
Fly into Lhasa Gonggar Airport and transfer 95 km to your hotel, passing scenic views of the Yerlung Tsangpo and Lhasa Kyichu River. Rest and acclimatize to the high altitude.
Overnight: Lhasa - Day 2 : Lhasa – Potala Palace & Sera Monastery
- Morning: Visit the iconic Potala Palace, built in the 7th century and renovated in the 17th century.
- Afternoon: Explore Sera Monastery, established in 1419, famous for its unique monastic debates.
Overnight: Lhasa
- Day 3 : Lhasa – Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Market
- Morning: Tour Drepung Monastery, the largest Gelugpa monastery, founded in 1416.
- Afternoon: Visit Jokhang Temple, housing the sacred golden statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, followed by a stroll in Barkhor Market.
