The adventure begins in Kathmandu with a day of guided sightseeing, giving you a glimpse into Nepal’s cultural heritage before traveling to the scenic lakeside city of Pokhara. From there, your trek officially starts at Nayapul, gradually ascending through charming Gurung and Magar villages, lush rhododendron and bamboo forests, and terraced farmlands.

As you make your way to Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters, you'll be treated to up-close views of some of the world’s most impressive Himalayan giants, including Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri. One of the trek’s highlights is the sunrise view from Poon Hill—a panoramic spectacle that paints the mountains in golden hues.

With an average hiking time of 5–7 hours per day, the trek allows for proper acclimatization and plenty of time to soak in the region’s natural beauty. You’ll be supported by experienced guides and porters, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey from start to finish.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

    Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Pre-trek briefing with your guide.
    Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation

    Explore Kathmandu Valley with a full-day guided tour: visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and Kumari Temple. Afternoon: trek briefing and gear check.
    Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara (900 m) – 7 to 9 hrs

    Drive to Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway. Enjoy views of rivers, villages, and terraced hillsides. Pokhara offers beautiful Himalayan views and a relaxing lakeside atmosphere.
    Overnight: Hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara.

  • Day 4 : Drive to Birethanti & Trek to Ulleri (2,020 m) – 4 to 5 hrs

    Morning drive to Birethanti (1–1.5 hrs), start trekking through lush forest and terraced villages. After passing Tikhedhunga and Hile, ascend steep stone steps to Ulleri.
    Overnight: Guesthouse in Ulleri.

  • Day 5 : Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) – 5 to 6 hrs

    Trek through rhododendron and oak forests to Ghorepani. Enjoy panoramic mountain views and explore this vibrant Magar village.
    Overnight: Guesthouse in Ghorepani.

  • Day 6 : Sunrise at Poon Hill (3,210 m), Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) – 6 to 7 hrs

    Pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill for sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Return for breakfast, then trek through forest trails to Tadapani.
    Overnight: Guesthouse in Tadapani.

  • Day 7 : Trek to Sinuwa (2,360 m) – 6 to 7 hrs

    Descend through rhododendron forests to Chuile, then cross the river and ascend to Chhomrong. After descending to the Chhomrong Khola, climb up to Sinuwa.
    Overnight: Guesthouse in Sinuwa.

  • Day 8 : Trek to Deurali (3,230 m) – 6 to 7 hrs

    Trek past Bamboo and Dovan, cross lush forests and waterfalls. Continue through Himalaya and Hinko Cave before reaching Deurali.
    Overnight: Guesthouse in Deurali.

  • Day 9 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) – 5 to 6 hrs

    Ascend to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, then trek into the Annapurna Sanctuary to reach Annapurna Base Camp. Enjoy 360° views of snow-capped peaks.
    Overnight: Guesthouse at Annapurna Base Camp.

  • Day 10 : Trek to Bamboo (2,345 m) – 6 to 7 hrs

    Retrace your steps down through Deurali, Himalaya, and Bamboo. Enjoy a different perspective on the return route.
    Overnight: Guesthouse in Bamboo.

  • Day 11 : Trek to Jhinu Danda (1,780 m) – 4 to 5 hrs

    Trek back to Chhomrong and descend steeply to Jhinu, home to natural hot springs. Enjoy a relaxing soak in the evening.
    Overnight: Guesthouse in Jhinu.

  • Day 12 : Trek to Syauli Bazaar & Drive to Pokhara – 3 to 4 hrs trek, 2 to 3 hrs drive

    Descend along the Modi Khola to Syauli Bazaar. Drive back to Pokhara via Nayapul (expect a bumpy road initially).
    Overnight: Hotel in Lakeside, Pokhara.

  • Day 13 : Drive Back to Kathmandu – 7 to 9 hrs

    Morning drive to Kathmandu. Enjoy a farewell dinner in the evening with your guide.
    Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 14 : Final Departure

    Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home or onward travel.
    End of the journey.

  • Tips and gratuities for guides, porters, and drivers (optional but highly appreciated)
  • Extra nights' accommodation or meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara due to early arrival, late departure, or early return from the trek for any reason (including personal illness, weather conditions, etc.)
  • Personal travel insurance (mandatory for this adventure trip). It must cover both medical treatment and emergency evacuation, with a minimum coverage of USD 100,000
